The largest planned battery project in the nation
The Hanworth Battery has a capacity of 1.2 GW / 4.8 GWh, at full scale, will be capable of storing and delivering enough electricity to power more than half a million homes during the evening peak, when demand is highest and solar generation drops off.
The Hanworth Battery project is strategically located in Bannaby, NSW, next to the Transgrid’s Bannaby 500/330kV substation that is currently being expanded as part of the Humelink project.
